Pelvic Floor & Women’s Health

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles that supports the bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs while working closely with the core, hips, and spine. When these muscles are not functioning optimally, they can contribute to pain, weakness, instability, and changes in bladder or bowel control.

At our practice, pelvic floor therapy is provided one-on-one with a female Doctor of Physical Therapy in a private, supportive environment designed to help you feel comfortable and heard.

Who is Pelvic Floor Therapy For?

Pelvic floor dysfunction can affect anyone, including men! It can be helpful for those experiencing pelvic pain, discomfort during movement, intercourse or exercise, bladder or bowel leakage, feelings of pressure or heaviness, core weakness, or pain.

Treatment focuses on how your pelvic floor works together with the rest of your body, so care is tailored to your specific symptoms and personal goals.

Restore, Align & Stabilize your pelvic floor

Pelvic floor therapy works to restore proper muscle function, align the pelvic floor with the core and postural system, and stabilize the body for improved comfort and control. Treatment may include education, breathing strategies, postural retraining, gentle manual techniques, and guided exercises to improve coordination and strength.

By addressing the pelvic floor as part of the whole body, therapy supports improved movement, reduced pain, and greater confidence in daily activities, exercise, and recovery.
